How much does it cost to get your hair permanantly straightend?

I am mixed, and have super curly hair! If i dont put moose in it it's frizzy. & i'm tired of it! I straighten it quite often, but it just takes so long! so i want to just have it STRAIGHT! how much does it cost? and is it damaging to your hair?! DETAILS PLEASE!!
