Elbow dislocation - Bent elbow?

When there is trauma to the muscles the tendons often tighten up to give you pains like that. It's just like shortening up the muscle when the tendons tighten up. Until the tendons free up on their own, which takes a long time, or someone does it for you who is trained in them the pain will be gone in less than 15 minutes. Physio usually has your 'strengthen' the muscles which will add to the pain rather than help it. Icing a tight muscle can make the pains worse, once the feeling returns to the area or at the very least help keep it tight longer.
