First Time Shaving Questions? Please Help!?

Shave sides downward and under chin downwards. The hair will NOT grow back stubbly nor thicker. It will just grow back. As to the green face, your dad may be using a green colored after shave lotion to get a nice after shave smell and it helps heal the face after shaving.
