My 6 month old puppy has been vomiting since last night?

I took my 6 month old puppy to the vet this morning because he was vomiting it looked clear/foamy could not keep any fluids down. they just gave me a dropper and some oral electrolytes to give him every hour and to take him back on monday but he throws it right up what can i do ?
