I have chemically straightened my hair...will it go off in 6 months or is it life long?

my hair is looking so flat and it changes the look of my face.....i want my original hair back.is there any way to get rid of this?or is it life long?i have done matrix opticare chemical straightening for rs 2999.............please do care to reply!!! thankiee!
