Help with my hair please!!!!?

I need help with my hair. I have really Puffy hair and dont know how to style it!!! By force i have to put it up in a pony tail and put gel in it and i dont want the same old hair style but with my puffy hair change do anything with it. I also tried to grow it so it could go down a little bit but still wont work. I change even straighten but it just get worse!!!!!!!!!!! Any help please? ???????
